I like their service. Haven’t noticed anything bad in particular yet. Over all I’m satisfied and fairly good price too.

I’ve been accessing our sales team POS devices using No-IP Plus for over a year now with no hiccups. Affordable prices and great service. I would recommend this company to any business (well other than our competitors)

WOW – what a rip off! and poor support/sales… and an awful website to boot…

i had heard that No-ip was the place to use for DDNS – so, i like hosting my own servers, just for fun mostly.

gave them a try, all well and good easy to install, however, thats where the good and easy ended….

I need to find (in amongst all the menus that lead no where) info on setting up a link to my server.

After three days of trawling their website I did a google search (which found the perfect doc) straight away…. upgrade time guys!

so i follow the instructions… yes i want to activate $63.00!! wtf?

i wouldn’t be so pee’d but IF they had told me upfront WHAT i was in for, i would have paid the money… they don’t even tell you what EXACTLY you get for the enhanced version… so a wasted three days in trying to set up – avoid.

TIME FOR A WAKE UP CALL NO-IP.COM… 🙁

no-ip is a rip off! I though I could save some money by doing the dynamic dns thing, but after I already invested in it, I saw all of the hidden charges. I could have gotten a dedicated server for the same price from bluehost.com. I couldn’t recommend using their paid services.

My mail account started getting spam the EXACT day I signed up for “no-ip.com” The free service obviously collected on my identity. I can testify that I did not sign up for any other services that month with this account. Very sad. I had a clean inbox till the day I made the mistake of sharing my e-mail with them…. Imagine a string of curse words following….

I can’t believe those awful reviews about No-IP! I have never experienced any of the things those people have said. Which leads me to believe they are fake reviews. I mean seriously, No-IP’s customer service couldn’t be better! Every time I call them I get a real person on the phone and they always help me! As far as hidden fees?? What?! No Way! Maybe the reviewers just didn’t read the description of the products enough? Im so confused as to that. I pay $14.95 for their Enhanced Dynamic DNS which means I get a hostname and I don’t have to confirm that it is active every 30 days.

Don’t listen to Ivan or Cale, they are so, so WRONG!

I have only nice words to say about No-IP services. I used it for a few years, but recently I discovered dns4e.com and I must say that its simplicity is nice. API looks nice. I am not sure if it is a worth alternative for DDNS?

Anyone else have experiende with dns4e.com?

All of the people posting negative reviews about this service are obviously not computer literate enough to be using something as “advanced” as this. Simply put, this is the absolute best DDNS and one of the best DNS providers out there. The nameservers are top notch and respond just as quick if not quicker than most others. The prices they offer are average, but this can be completely overlooked as they send out promotions offering discounts up to 35%(overall). Their customer service is great! Overall, if you are a soccer-mom trying to build her first website or some kid who thinks he can run his own server, you are in no position to grade a company like this on their performance. If you truly understood how these protocols worked none of you would have ever had a problem( I’m looking at you I-run-my-own-server-guy)! I have been a network engineer for close to 15 years and I would recommend this service to everyone I know.

I tried No-IP after being let down by Dyn. Obviously it’s not easy switching DNS providers but overall the experience wasn’t as bad as I expected. I’m 3 months in now and everything is steady as she goes.

I needed a Dynamic DNS service to access my server and related systems, after searching around I decided to go with No-IP over Dyn just because it seemed they allow slightly more in depth technical control over the configurations you set up compared to anywhere else.

I have been using their No-IP Enhanced service for approx 8 months now and have created a static Hostname which will constantly update with my Dynamically changing IP and can be mapped to my domain in DNS using a CNAME record.

I can’t fault their service, pricing seems very reasonable and and I have never experienced any downtime using this service so far.

At first my hosting went well, discovered recently, that my “clients” had no more access. On my requests for help/service only a deafening silence. Tried again, still silence.
That’s no way to gain confidence. So no more NO-IP for me, I’ll have to look far another = better provider now. To who-ever it concerns: learn from my experience.

I migrated from DynDNS (11 years using dyndns and now 6 months using NO-IP). And for Linux users who want to save that’s the way to go.

    Benefits:
Usually DynDNS and NO-IP have their clients embedded in almost all routers, NAS and cameras, so it’s pretty easy to jump from one to the other.

I use Ubuntu server for my small business servers and I own 2 domains that I update using ddclient and as I said, jumping from one to the other was a matter of just changing a few parameters in ddclient.conf, from my customers point of view the changes were non disruptive at all.

They fully support MX records required by google (I use enterprise tools), and my email kept flowing with no issues detected in several testings I did. Their tools are easier to use compared to DynDns MX manual MX record creation.

And finally the cost, 60 dls per domain + 15 renewal in DynDNS, the same services in NOIP is 35 dls. So it’s a 50% economy. And for me it was enough to motivate me to change.

Oh and I almost forgot, DynDNS does not support free hosts now.

NOIP still does, so you can register and manage temporary servers from the same tool you use to update your production servers. So for migrating information using remote servers with free host names it’s an easy setup, and this is no longer offered by DynDNS.

My client contacted DDNS yesterday and requested I speak with one of their “salesman”, Aaron I believe his name was. I asked him a few questions about their website builder as I have never used that particular one before and he immediately went on the defensive.
Thought he was joking at first and laughed along, then he became quite agitated and was very abusive. I suggest Aaron should find another career path as it’s quite obvious he does not like being challenged and Sales is definitely not his forte.

Do not waste your money on No-IP. I have been on holiday abroad twice and been let down on both occasions when the IP address on my home router changed and I was no longer able to access my CCTV system.
Yes No-IP was refreshing the IP Address but it was refreshing to the hotel IP that I was staying at. A total waste of money.

The FREE service is great… I ran a website for years hosted at my house and this pointed a hostname to my ever changing IP at home.

The paid service… SUCKS…. My site is now hosted by GoDaddy, but the domain was registered here…. in order to point MY domain to GoDaddy, I have to have the PlusDNS which is $30/year… the only thing that fee does is associate my domain name with the GoDaddy server…. kind of a waste of money so I transferred my domain to GoDaddy for a flat feee of less than $10 and GoDaddy can do this service for free.

So far it’s a disappointment. NoIP doesn’t keep your IP address static, it simply updates the NoIP web site with a current IP address, which could still potentially change 20+ times a day. In my case, I still have to go in and reset my surveillance systems manually every time their IP addresses change.. the exact problem I was trying to solve.
This is NOT a way to get around having to your web provider for a static IP address.

El servicio que dan es ok, el problema es que te facturan lo que quieren cuando quieren.

Te activan la autorenovacion automatica sin avisar y te encuentras con cargos en tu cuenta por sorpresa, con subidas de precio sin avisar.

    No recomendable

Great reliable dynamic dns service at a fair price. Technical support answered in 2 minutes. I switched from DYN by Oracle because they are 4x more expensive and are discontinuing their dynamic dns service on May 31 2023.
