Zerigo
Zerigo shut down their company in early 2017. This is historic information…
Zerigo has Nameservers in the following locations: Colorado, Washington DC, Texas, UK, Netherlands, and Singapore. They support IPv6 resolution, they also provide a REST API, Vanity Nameservers, and a UI for managing your zones. They also provide Geographic load balancing, 100% uptime guarantee and a 99.99% guarantee of under 100ms resolution times. They have no contractual commitments.
Pricing:
They have 5 plans under their DNS pro packages
1st package – 25 domains, 250 records, 4 million queries = $20/month
2nd package – 100 domains, 1,000 records, 7 million queries = $40/month
3rd package – 175 domains, 1,750 records, 12 million queries = $70/month
4th package – 250 domains, 2,500 records, 25 million queries – $135/month
5th package – 250 domains, 2,500 records, 100 million queries – $475/month
Overage pricing – $4.90/million/month

I have Zerigo for only 8 months however I have found it to be an excellent choice for DNS especially if you use streaming video. Unlike most any cast systems the top end packages you can get from Zerigo are amazing. They are famous for using multicast DNS and it is sometimes best used in combination with any cast. If you think that multicast is slower or worse look at the web speeds for a company like WP Engine then check their DNS they use Zerigo. I also have accounts with DYN, ultraDNS just did the trial for DNS made easy. I have a somewhat large Internet marketing firm and we need to appeal to trust that the uptime is actually going to be there and I can tell you there was one small bit of downtime however it was fixed quickly and they are very responsive to any service needs. They also have an excellent free DNS program so you can try them out for free without losing a thing. I think if you’re a bigger company it makes sense to have more than one DNS provider I have 3 so I feel I have somewhat of a good idea of what you should be treated like when you use a DNS provider and I think Zerigo is an excellent choice. Anyone with a small website as well that doesn’t get a lot of hits I recommend Zerigo free service. I almost forgot they have a absolutely outstanding easy-to-use control panel if you need an excellent interface low-cost high powered DNS. You should try out Zerigo.

It’s a good DNS solution, however their support is lacking. I’ve waited a week for a resolution to an issue and never get hold of anyone who knows anything useful.

Performance is good but their system is under attack all the time and the number of queries they report – and, not unimportantly, YOU have to pay – is complete bogus. From one month on the other I suddenly had to pay 50.000.000 additional DNS queries, while my websites on average don’t even get 500 visitors a day. I contacted Zerigo and asked them about this but they seem to think it is logical for a website with only 100-150 visitors a day for example to generate over 5 million (!!) DNS queries in one month (this literally happened and they don’t think this is odd).
To make matters worse (for them), I switched all my sites to Amazon and the same sites are now generating 100+ times less queries! Which means on Amazon I pay $0.48 for which Zerigo made me pay $132.50 last month!! This is no joke, unfortunately.. So be warned.
Zerigo contacted me eventually and informed that they will pay back the $132.50. They did not give any explanation as to why or what happened.

Zerigo offers vers nice package at a rather low cost. The api is very useful and efficient and the interface to manage the zone is also well made
However, we have encountered several issues when updating our zone: the propagation delay between the master servers causing several hours of delay while the zone update was rather critical. Of course, these issues always happened when doing critical updates of the DNS and we had to way 12-24h everytime before anything was fixed.

These people are just plain dishonest IMO – they sold me 12 months of service and less than six months later, insist that I pay them a monthly fee amounting to a price hike of over 1500%. They then hide behind their TOS which state they can cease service at any time for any reason, which would be IMHO indefensible if it came to court. They seem to have no desire to keep customers. If you’re a small customer with a handful of domains, like me, I’d look elsewhere. If you value good customer service, I’d look elsewhere. If you’re happy to feel ripped-off, then be my guest …

Price hikes out of the blue. Jerks send out an email to the gist of:
price will increase 1500% percent because we can’t afford to have low prices anymore. Sorry, if you don’t pay your account will be cancelled at the end of the month.
Yeah? Bye!
Went with a different DNS provider and haven’t looked back.
