DNSimple hit by huge DDoS attack on Cyber Monday

December 2, 2014 – Based in Florida, the managed DNS provider DNSimple said they were hit by a huge ddos attack on Cyber Monday.  They believe the attack was initiated by Chinese hackers and was volumetric in nature.

The firm made several posts on Twitter about being down due to the attack and they were working with their network provider to increase capacity in order to take on the UDP flood of traffic.

They seemed to have everything back to normal at 3pm EST on Tuesday.
